Nestled within one of Melbourne’s longest established plant nursery and garden landscape material businesses in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburb of Knox is the Banksia Café.
The café is surrounded by lush indoor and outdoor plants. Serving breakfast, lunch, coffee and snacks the café is a haven for those seeking a tranquil respite from the daily hustle and bustle of modern life.
The café has two domestic ovens which are used daily to bake bread and to cook hot dishes.
The Banksia Café’s owner, Rod Thompson, was concerned that the interiors of the ovens were dirty and the oven doors’ glass was so built up with carbon deposits that his chef could not see inside to check the progress of fresh bread being baked. Rod knew that the solution to keeping his chef happy and to making his ovens more hygienic and efficient was to engage Ovenu to restore their condition.
Starting work on the ovens after the café closed, Jeff Murray went to work on bringing the ovens back to near showroom condition. Rod was thrilled with the result and now has a very happy chef!
