A leading oven cleaning firm is continuing to ‘clean up’ in the domestic services market, by offering professional solutions for the most hated and detested household chores.
Despite a tough economic backdrop, Ovenu, one of the leading oven cleaning and detailing franchise networks, is celebrating a 5th successful year in business and plans to build on this success with the appointment of a new State Director for Melbourne.
Pedro Kovac (41) from Endeavour Hills, Victoria, has been appointed in to the newly created role, with responsibility for the ongoing development of the franchise network across the region.
Pedro joins the expanding team with the specific aim of cultivating the oven cleaning network in Melbourne. A key focus for him will be the successful introduction of new franchisees, keen to start their own businesses following the tried-and-tested Ovenu franchise model. A married father-of-two, Pedro formerly worked as an appliance technician for a leading oven manufacturer.
Ovenu Australia provides professional domestic oven and BBQ cleaning and detailing services to householders, landlords and schools across the country. The firm is now working for over 100,000 clients every year, via its Australia-wide network of experienced technicians.
The company is also a certified applicator of specialised protective coatings for tiles, ceramics and stainless steel surfaces. Used for areas such as pool surrounds and shower screens, the coating can help reduce cleaning by up to 90% and puts an end to the need for harsh or abrasive chemicals.
The Ovenu cleaning service involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered equipment, which uses non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
Pedro Kovac said: “It is a very exciting time to be joining Ovenu, as the company is really going from strength to strength. I am looking forward to the challenge of developing the network and to helping people take their first steps towards starting their own successful businesses.”
Bernard and Janet Bannon, owners of Ovenu Australia, said: “We are delighted that Pedro has come on board. He is very enthusiastic and his background and technical knowledge of ovens will be invaluable to new franchisees.
“Our ongoing success shows that there is a clear need for our type of services and for someone looking to start their own business, a franchise can be a great option. With a franchise such as Ovenu you get the flexibility of being your own boss, but with the backing of an established company behind you and the benefit of a tried-and-tested business model.”
